Well, all the hype is over finally and our new president has been elected.  By Jan 20th things will start to change and we will all be better off than we were for the last 8 years.  Or will we?  One thing I know for sure is that I intend to change my approach to my online business.

We have had many years of the same old programs and approaches to marketing without much success.  We are told every day that some new “secret” or new method to build our businesses faster and more profitable is just within reach for the small sum of $XXX.  Just send  the guru the money and they will tell you the secret method that they use to make vast fortunes.  I have found out the “secret” and here it is.  They sell you some sugar coated program that is supposed to be the latest and greatest but is in reality just a shell of a program.  Then they turn around and thump their chest while shouting “see how rich I am and you can be too if you just buy my next revelation”. The old saying goes, there is a fool born every minute, and I guess that’s true because we just keep buying their sales pitch.

2009 is the year to step off the merry go round.  When was the last time you were ask what you wanted or needed to make your business more successful.  When was the last time you were able to get a support person to actually answer your questions in a timely, understandable manner?  If all the guru’s are so interested in your business woudn’t you think they might actually answer your questions?  Seems reasonable to me.

This year I am going to try to give as much information about my success and failure as possible with the hope that it will be helpful.  I am not a expert but I am building my business along with millions of other folks in the hopes that we can all prosper from our efforts.
